Jessica Simpson Weight Loss Reveal on ‘Katie’ Show

Jessica Simpson is preparing to debut her post-baby body on renowned journalist Katie Couric’s new talk show which starts Monday and the singer recently confirmed that she has already lost a substantial amount of weight.

Simpson, who gave birth to her first child baby Maxwell Drew Johnson on May 1st, is expected to open up about her weight loss journey during the premiere episode of renowned journalist Katie Couric’s talk show “Katie.” The new mom signed a $4 million weight loss deal with Weight Watchers during her pregnancy, and Simpson’s weight loss ads will also start airing Monday.

The 5’3 star claims to have gained 70 pounds during her pregnancy, allegedly weighing in at 170lbs during her peak. As part of the terms of her deal with Weight Watchers, Simpson is expected to shed the baby weight within five months and she recently confirmed that she is just 10 pounds away from her goal weight.

“I’m 10 pounds away from my pre-baby size,” Simpson recently told US Magazine.

The 32-year-old has incorporated a strict diet and workout routine which includes low fat foods and frequent cardio.

“I’m trying to do at least 14,000 steps a day,” she said. In conjunction with daily walks, Simpson also exercises four times a week with pro trainer Harley Pasternak.

“Her waist is going in, and her thighs are getting smaller,” Pasternak said.

For breakfast Simpson eats half a Flatout flatbread sandwich with egg whites, peppers and fat-free cheddar (6 PointsPlus). During lunch the “Fashion Star” judge eats spinach salad with chicken satay and a pear.

“I make lunch my biggest meal to keep me full throughout the day,” she said.

Dinner usually consists of fish with a side of roasted eggplant, broccoli, or asparagus, and a Skinny Cow truffle bar for dessert.

Simpson was photographed arriving at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Sunday and the singer appeared to be much slimmer and in good spirits as she made her way to New York City for Monday’s taping of the “Katie” show. From christianpost.

Paparazzi snapped photos of new mom Jessica Simpson as she headed to her personal trainer’s home, as well as a personal gym, in Los Angeles Wednesday. The singer has been working on shedding the baby pounds for her new contract with Weight Watchers.

Simpson, 31, gave birth just last month to her first child, Maxwell Drew Johnson, who she had with fiancé Eric Johnson.

Shortly after the birth, it was announced that Simpson would be teaming up with weight loss company Weight Watchers in a $4 million deal to shed the pounds.

Simpson, who has told news outlets that her main pregnancy craving was cantaloupe, is now taking over as spokesperson for the company, which formerly had drastically-slimmed down singer Jennifer Hudson as its spokesperson.

According to MSN, Simpson is teaming up with celebrity personal trainer Harley Pasternak, who has previously helped slim down and tone up stars Halle Berry and Hilary Duff.

“After you have your baby it’s like, ‘Oh my God, what happened to my body?’ This is not me!,’” Simpson recently told People magazine of her post-pregnancy feelings.

“It would be nice to feel comfortable in a bikini but that’s not my goal. I just want to fit into jeans,” she added.

People magazine reported that Simpson, who was spotted Wednesday in over-sized sunglasses and sweats, will be attending a private gym for her weight loss.

“I think anybody who’s gone through a pregnancy, after they have the baby, it’s like, ‘I need to do something about this,’” Simpson told the magazine.

The billionaire entrepreneur is ready to get her body back on point as she confirmed being a spokesperson for the latest meal-plan-strategy trend a la Weight Watchers.

Before Simpson gave birth to her 9 lb., 13 oz. baby girl, she had signed on with the diet program, but opted to stop point-counting and give into her pregnancy cravings.

“I was like, ‘I’m going to enjoy my pregnancy,’ and I did,” she tells People Magazine. “I ate very healthy, but I did indulge some of my cravings – and that’s okay because I know I can work it off now.”

Awaiting doc orders to clear her for workout, the “With You” singer is ecstatic about shedding all the weight that once started controversy and Simpson’s friends are joining in on the weight loss journey for support.

“There’s not a goal weight – I just want to feel normal and fixate on inches,” she says. “I really want to set small goals, so I’m constantly reaching goals and not looking at something so far ahead.” From popularcritic.
