In fact, participants in the latest study show they burned 125 extra calories per day!
What is it about the low-glycemic diet that gets so much support? It helps in stabilizing blood sugar levels and metabolism while reducing inflammation, stress hormones, and other heart-health issues.
Low-carb is excellent for weight loss, but it produces higher levels of highest levels of cortisol (a stress hormone) and CRP — which is a sign of inflammation. Those can potentially lead to developing heart disease and diabetes.
